Language localization at UserGuiding is the process of adapting your content's language to a specific country or region. It allows you to reach out to a larger audience base with your UserGuiding materials.
All you will need to do is create your content, such as Guides in your main language, duplicate and translate the content in your target language(s) and finally, match your content with the correct audiences.
Localizing your content
Here are the steps you need to take to localize your content in multiple languages:
1 - Create content in your main language, then clone it.
2 - Manually translate and edit the text on each Guide in your target language on the Chrome Extension.
3 - To localize the proceeding buttons for Guides, go to the Themes > Language.
Here's an example of a theme in Spanish:
4 - UserGuiding can identify your user's language through their browser session, which allows you to create a segment using this information.
Note: Alternatively, you can send to UserGuiding your user's language as a user attribute. When sent, these attributes will be available on the Users Page, and then you can create a segment as explained above.
5 - Go to your Guide settings and select your customized segment. Here, you can make sure each localized UserGuiding content is visible to its right audience.
6- Now, all you have to do is click SAVE and publish your content live!
