Overview

You can personalize your Survey by sending user attributes to UserGuiding and inserting them into your content.

You can send relevant information, such as name, email, company name, job role, sign-up date, etc. Learn more on how to send them through this article.

Where can I display user attributes within a Survey?

With personalization, you can display user attributes in the following sections:

  • Survey Question

  • Feedback Question

  • Thank You Message

  • Rating Scale Texts

  • Button Texts

How can I add user attributes to my Survey?

  • In your Panel, navigate to the Survey, select the survey type, and go to Settings.

  • Insert the user attribute’s name into the section you want to personalize. Please ensure double-curly braces wrap it. (i.e. {{name}} or {{role}}).

  • If you are unsure that the attribute will have a value assigned to it, you can add a fallback value using the pipe character “|.” Example: Hi {{name | there}}!

Important: You won’t be able to see your personalization working through the preview mode while editing your Promoter Survey. The user attributes you add will only be displayed on your web platform after publishing changes from the UserGuiding Panel.
