What is Rate Limiting?

Rate Limiting is a feature designed to help you control the number of auto-triggered Guides and Surveys shown to your end users within a specified time frame. This ensures that users are not overwhelmed by a constant stream of all the auto-triggered materials popping up back to back.

Why Use Rate Limiting?

  • Enhanced User Experience:

Avoid overwhelming end users with a barrage of materials by setting reasonable limits.

  • Customization and Control:

Tailor the rate-limiting settings to align with your engagement strategy and user preferences.

How to Enable Rate Limiting

To get started, follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to your account

  2. Access your dashboard and navigate to the settings page

  3. Look for the Rate Limiting section in your settings. This is where you can enable and configure the feature

  4. Toggle the Rate Limiting switch to activate the feature

Configuring Rate Limiting Settings

Now that you've enabled Rate Limiting, you can customize it according to your preferences:

  1. Set the Maximum Number of Materials:

    • Define the maximum number of auto-triggered materials that can be shown to a user within a specific time period (e.g., X materials every X hours).

  2. Apply Cooldown Between Triggers:

    • Specify the cooldown time between each auto-trigger. This ensures a reasonable interval between materials.

  3. Exclude Materials:

    • Choose specific materials to exclude from rate-limiting rules. These materials will be auto-triggered regardless of the limit settings, allowing you to prioritize essential content.

πŸ“Œ Please note that the Rate Limiting feature is available exclusively for Professional and Corporate Plan users. If you have any questions about your plan or need assistance with upgrading, you can reach out to the support team.
