Can I Create Materials on a Website I Don't Own?
Learn how to use UserGuiding on websites you do not own.

How Does UserGuiding Work?

UserGuiding acts as a product experience layer that lays on top of your web platform product. You'll be able to build Guides, Hotspots, Checklists, and Custom Surveys on top of your current UI (User Interface).

All these can be shown live to your users by Inserting a unique container code into your web app. Thus, installing UserGuiding on your web platform or site requires access to its source code.

What If You Don't Have Access to the Source Code?

If you do not own the site and can't access a website or application's source code, the site must at least allow our code to be injected temporarily.

It is also possible to use UserGuiding Now for a code-free installation. By installing the UG Now Chrome extension, you can display the content you create without installing the container code into the platform. More information can be found here.

If it is impossible to inject temporarily or implement UG Now, the only solution would be the initial one requiring platform ownership.
